Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at Bay Wellness offers a gentle, holistic approach to supporting balance, comfort and overall wellbeing. Led by experienced practitioner Katrina, treatments are guided by careful listening, clinical experience and the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Alongside acupuncture, treatment may also include cupping and tuina massage, depending on your needs. These therapies are used to support the body’s natural balance, encourage relaxation and promote healthy function.
Whether you are seeking support for pain, stress, fatigue, hormonal changes or general wellbeing, acupuncture offers a calm, supportive environment in which the body can begin to rebalance.
Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is a form of manual therapy that has been used for thousands of years to support health and balance. It is based on the understanding that energy, known as Qi, flows through the body along specific pathways called meridians. When this flow becomes disrupted, symptoms or imbalance may arise.
Acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of very fine, sterile needles into selected points on the body to support the free flow of Qi and encourage the body’s natural regulatory processes. Treatment is always tailored to the individual, taking into account physical symptoms alongside lifestyle, energy levels and overall health.
Acupuncture may help support a wide range of concerns, including:
Many people also find acupuncture supports relaxation, improved sleep quality and a greater sense of physical and emotional ease.
Your first appointment begins with a detailed consultation. Katrina will take time to understand your medical history, current symptoms and lifestyle, before assessing overall balance from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective.
Treatment typically involves fine needles being placed at selected acupuncture points and left in place for around 20–30 minutes while you rest. Most people find sessions deeply calming and leave feeling settled and relaxed.
Where appropriate, treatment may also include:
All treatment is adapted to your comfort and needs on the day.
At Bay Wellness, acupuncture is used not only to address symptoms, but to support how the body functions over time. Where helpful, simple guidance is offered to help you understand contributing factors and make realistic changes that support ongoing wellbeing.
